Lucid Blue was a band that I was in during the college years. It was the ultimate high performing on stage to a couple hundred audience members that consisted of your friends, loved ones, and total strangers.
Lucid Blue began as a recording project for one of my Music Engineering classes. I had just written three songs that semester and I wanted to record them. I contacted some good friends/musicians
and asked if they would play in the recording session. After a couple of weeks the first CD of Lucid Blue was complete (at that time the band name was Audio Caffeine).
Everyone enjoyed the recording project and new songs that we decided to get together on a weekly basis and learn cover songs so we could possibly gig around campus. Soon we had an opportunity to play at the First Annual Blues Festival at Ball State University. Other gigs came around (Delta Zeta's Turtle Tugs and Ball State's Homecoming Battle of the Bands), but I was graduating soon and shortly beginning my masters degree. This led the separation of Lucid Blue, but not before we re-recorded our CD with new songs at Gaither Studios. I had been working at Gaither Studio's for two years while I was obtaining both of my degrees, and they agreed that I could use their equipment in the off hours. Therefore, on several Sundays, I would get one or two of the band members to come in and lay down their tracks for the CD. Now, I have a full professional CD that was engineered, mixed, and mastered by myself.
Contact me if you want a copy of the CD.

Strawberry Hands 2.18 MB - This song refers to the delicacy and the strife of a woman. The song describes the finer points of females, however this one plays with the man's emotions by accepting him, then leaving him. Though this may be cruel (and common) this is, the man still desires her to take him back.
Stare @ Me 3.71 MB - This song was inspired after watching "The Last Temptation of Christ". The song takes the perspective of Jesus hanging on the cross, wondering why the people of Galilee just stare at him instead of helping him.
Every Time you Smile 3.58 MB - This song was written by Brian Fowler and Jeremy Roth. I do not want to interpret the meaning. Find your own.
Got Nothin' 2.43 MB - This song describes the emotion that takes place in college wondering what will happen after you graduate. Today, a Undergraduate degree does not guarantee a job in society, thus you may be stranded to "live your life" wondering. The songs describes the journey of one wonderer and his encounters of other wonderers.
Brand New Life 4.39 MB - This song was written by Brian Fowler and Jeremy Roth. I do not want to interpret the meaning. Find your own.
NuMb 2.09 MB - When a individual finds the love of his/her life, that love consumes all senses thus your body becoming numb to all other things except for that loved one.
Red Rose 3.47 MB - Dating individuals is a risk. And when the risk hurts you, you have become emotionally scarred. The issue with emotionally scarred individuals is that the next person to date them, there is the remaining baggage that has to be overcome in order for their lives to progress.
Your Soul Connected to Mine 3.23 MB - This song is dedicated to my wife. It is the first song that I wrote after I realized that we would get married in the future (and we did).
Elizabeth's Prelude 2.67 MB - This track is a guitar prelude that I had been playing for a period of time trying to create lyrics. I felt that the song was so sweet and gentle that It would better server as a prelude to another song, rather than tainting it with lyrics.
Elizabeth's Fight 4.61 MB - This song was inspired by Revelations 12:1-6. This is a story of a woman that was going to give birth to a baby boy when a red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on his head appeared. The dragon stood by waiting for the woman to give birth so he could eat the baby, God snatched the baby when he was born and carried him to Gods throne. The woman fled to a special place God had prepared for her so she could be taken care of for 1,260 days.
